Unlike the tradition of standing, stretching and singing in middle of the game, here, COSO IT offers its employees to take eight weeks paid off post completion of seven years of service.

The governance of Flex Time is though not rigid, but this time flexibility is amalgamated with the routine in three parts – beginning, middle and the end of the day. Often included in these time arrangements is a central portion in the day during which every staff member is present. This time is generally termed as core work time or core hours. Continued interaction between all the employees ensures better inter-personal relationships and stimulates knowledge and experience sharing. Here are some typical examples of flex times followed by various organisations – 

  • Constant individualized start and end times followed each day.
  • Varying individualised start and end times on daily basis with number of working hours remaining constant.
  • Keeping the total working hours during the week constant, the individualised start and end times varies on daily basis.
  • Lunch times are extended and are balanced by adding more work hours at the beginning or end of the day.

The innovative program of Flexplace Telecommuting from COSO IT allows employees to work partly from a third location, usually at an employee’s residence on regular basis. This Flexplace arrangement is permitted to employees who have clearly defined tasks and his / her presence in the workplace isn’t essential for the accomplishment of the delegated tasks.

For making Flexplace and Telecommuting arrangements effective, it is essential that the organisation’s standard computing technology is made available to the employee working from an off-site location. Arranging this service through specific units to support the technology and giving access to the computer networks is necessary.
